Crossroads Christmas Project Deadline

Crossroads Christmas Project

Danielle Stansberry Matlock has presented the Missions Committee with a wonderful opportunity to minister to the families of the men who will spend Christmas at Crossroads Residential Drug Treatment Center in Corbin (Crossroads, a 40-bed facility, is a part of Cumberland River Behavioral Health – known to many in this area as Comp Care).
Danielle’s vision: to provide Christmas gifts for every child of every man who is a resident of the facility this Christmas.

Danielle’s plan: to ask the men what their children would like
for Christmas, to buy and wrap those gifts, and
then to allow the men to give the gifts to their
children on the visiting day just before Christmas.

Danielle’s goal: to raise $4000 from churches and community
members.

Danielle’s request: that we participate in this ministry by donating
money.

The Missions Committee wholeheartedly endorses this vision. If this is a way that you would like to minister to “the least of these,” please write your check to First Baptist Church for Crossroads Christmas Project. We will then forward the collected monies to Danielle and Parkway Ministries. Please make your contribution before December 1.
